Fun Date Ideas For Couples

Despite the popular belief that romantic love doesn't last long, some couples manage to keep their passion for each other throughout the years. The secret for this usually lays in their ability to stay romantic and go out on romantic dates no matter how long the couple has been together.

While having a dinner out is nice, restaurants are not always they best places to have a romantic date. Why? Because first of all, you pay attention to the food instead of each other. Second of all, it might be hard to talk if it is loud at a restaurant and you will be constantly interrupted by a waiter.

Going out to see a movie is a good idea only if you are going to spend some time together before or after it. Staring at a movie screen is not going to freshen up your marriage or relationship.

Instead of going for food or movies, take a simple walk together. Taking a nice walk free of distractions while holding hands is probably the best (and the cheapest) romantic date idea.

When you are on a date, try not to talk about things which do not involve you or your relationship. Don't talk about grocery shopping and don't gossip about your friends. Make it truly Your date.

Get to know each other better. Even if you have been married for 20 years, there are still some things that you might not know about each other and some memories which have never been shared.

Another fun way to have a romantic date is to re-create your first date. Unless your date was in another country, go to the place you first met or had your first official date. If your date was at a coffee shop or a restaurant, order the same items you did back then, wear the same perfume and maybe even try to style your hair as you had it styled.

All these will undoubtedly bring you memories and will help you feel as you did in the beginning of your relationship. Tell each other how you felt, what you noticed, how nervous you were and so on. Flirt with each other, look into each others eyes when you talk.

They say that you can tell if the couple is married by the way they sit at a restaurant, look (don't look) at each other and not talk. Don't fall under this stereotype. Romance doesn't have to fade with time. If you put enough effort into your relationship, it will only get stronger with time.
