Signals and Signs of a Cheater

You might be someone in a relationship, and lately you've been feeling like things just aren't right. Maybe you've noticed some subtle, or some major changes in your partner. For example, have they been coming home late, and then they seem disinterested in you? Are they spending a lot of time on their computer? Do they get text messages at all hours of the day, and night? Have they changed in their appearance? These are all signs that something at the very least is amiss, and that you need to get to the bottom of what is going on in your relationship.

Catching a cheater is a challenging task. First, you have to entertain the possibility that your significant other might be cheating on you. Ouch! It hurts your pride, and it breaks your heart to think that the person you love, and possibly see a future with is sharing themselves with someone else. Or worse, if you're married, it will hurt like heck to think that your spouse doesn't love you anymore, and is willing to break up your home, and your family to spend time with someone else. What do you do? How can you know for sure if your significant other, or spouse is in fact, cheating?

There are a few tell-tail signs that people should be aware of. These signs and signals might be painful. Sometimes they are obvious, and sometimes, not so much. But, the person who might be cheated on does themselves no favors to ignore them. Here are some signs and signals that your loved one might be cheating on you:

- They come home after "business meetings," and they smell like perfume, or cologne: This means that they've had close contact with the opposite sex. This could be innocent, but maybe not. However, if there is lipstick on their collar, shirt, face, or if there are passion marks involved, then you know for sure that cheating was going on.

- They either go cold on you, or they pick fights with you: If a cheater is nothing else, they are a coward. They don't want to face the responsibility of ending a relationship. So, they either ignore their partners, or they behave in insufferable, or even abusive ways. They hope that if they can drive enough of a wedge, the innocent partner will do their dirty work, and leave them.

- They spend all their free time on the internet: This is a sign of someone who might be having an internet relationship, or who seeks sexual release via adult websites. In any case, both of these activities can become addictive, and are signs of wanting to detach from reality, and from their real life relationships.

- They get text messages on their phone at weird times: If you are with them in their free time, and they get random, and weird text messages, or if your significant other seems pre-occupied with checking their messages on their cell phone, then you can conclude that they are up to no good.

There are many more signs and signals to catch a cheater. As much as it will hurt, you need to know the real status of your relationship. You deserve the truth, and to not be led on by someone who is using you, and who is too much of a coward to face their relationship issues. So although it will break your heart, if you think there is cheating going on, you need to take steps to find out the truth.
